Common questions

It starts with a conversation. You tell me what you're looking for — a specific artist, a price range, a feeling you want in a room — and I go find it. If I have something available, I'll show it to you directly. If I don't, I'll source it. Once we agree on a work, I handle provenance documentation, shipping coordination, and any condition reporting. Most transactions complete within a week.

Yes — and often the most interesting things never make it to the site at all. The private market moves fast and discretely. If you're looking for something specific, ask. I have access to works through private sales, estate collections, and dealer relationships that don't appear publicly.

I maintain a focused roster of artists I stand behind personally — from blue-chip names like Warhol, Basquiat, Banksy, Haring, Lichtenstein, and Chagall to contemporary artists including KAWS, Alex Katz, Nicolas Party, and a curated selection of emerging voices. See the full Artists page for the current roster.

Yes. I coordinate insured, art-handling shipping for every work — domestic and international. For larger works, I can recommend trusted installation teams in most major cities.

Absolutely. Some of my best collector relationships started with someone saying they had no idea where to begin. I'll ask you about your space, your taste, and your budget, and I'll help you build something considered — not just a random accumulation of pieces. The goal is a collection that means something.

Every work I sell comes with provenance I can speak to directly — documentation, prior exhibition history, certificates of authenticity where applicable, and catalogue raisonné references for edition works. For blue-chip names, I will not sell a work whose provenance I cannot fully account for. I'll walk you through the documentation for any piece before you commit. Authenticity is guaranteed as represented at the time of sale. If a work is conclusively established to be inauthentic or materially different from how it was represented — as determined by the artist's foundation, the relevant catalogue raisonné committee, or another recognized authentication authority — within five (5) years of purchase, Art Dealing Guy will rescind the sale and refund the original purchase price upon return of the work. This is the sole and exclusive remedy available. All artwork, print, and edition sales are otherwise final.

Yes. I have placed works into collections in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. International shipping, import documentation, and customs coordination are all part of what I handle. Time zone differences are not a problem — I'm responsive by message.
