Promises II

In Promises II, Julija Jankelaityte extends her poetic dialogue between form and feeling. Against a rich burgundy background, a purple and yellow flower share a single vase — their contrasting hues evoking both harmony and tension, like two emotions held in quiet balance. The surrounding abstract shapes drift through the composition, creating a rhythm that feels at once deliberate and spontaneous.

Jankelaityte's minimalist approach transforms the still life into something more psychological than botanical. The purple bloom suggests introspection, while the yellow carries warmth and renewal — together embodying the dual nature of promises: the hope they hold and the vulnerability they require.

Suspended between the surreal and the serene, Promises II captures the beauty of fragile commitments — those whispered intentions that live between color, shape, and silence.
