Orange Popsicles

Orange Popsicles pulls directly from the lyrics of Cunniff's song Lazy Girls, turning a specific lyrical moment, summer ease, into color and gesture on canvas. It's a clear example of her dual creative practice meeting in a single object.

The piece captures the simple pleasure of an orange popsicle on a hot day: friendship, innocence, the particular joy of slowing down. Layers of sunlit orange and playful brushstrokes echo the rhythm of Cunniff's songwriting, giving the canvas both movement and stillness at once.

It's an intimate reminder, in paint rather than melody, that the simplest pleasures often hold the most enduring beauty.
