Tell Me Something Good

Tell Me Something Good turns a simple, familiar phrase into a full-canvas statement, hand-painted in bold orange and red block letters and surrounded by smaller layers of handwritten text. As the longtime voice of Luscious Jackson, Cunniff carries the same instinct for a strong hook straight onto the canvas.

The painting works the way a good chorus does: one clear, insistent phrase anchoring a field of smaller, busier detail around it. It's a direct example of Cunniff's ongoing crossover between music and painting, built from the same rhythm and repetition that define her songwriting.

It's a lyrical, vibrant piece, and a tangible extension of Cunniff's musical practice into a second medium.
