Nature Walk

Nature Walk sends Frank down a forest path toward a glowing sun, a rainbow arched overhead and the trees rendered in bright, almost candy-colored tones. It is one of the earliest paintings in this collection, from 2020, and it shows Frank's world before the fluorescent palette took over: warmer, quieter, closer to a children's book illustration than a street mural.

The rainbow and sunlight do real work here, standing in for hope and renewal without tipping into cliche. Frank's stride keeps the composition moving, so the piece reads less like a static landscape and more like a single frame from a longer walk.

As a unique acrylic on canvas, Nature Walk is a good entry point into Frank Ape's earlier, more painterly period, before the aerosol and epoxy pieces that came later. It suits a collector who wants warmth and narrative over the bolder, more graphic Frank Ape works.
