Brandon Sines (Frank Ape)

Brandon Sines (Frank Ape)

Brandon Sines has been painting Frank Ape, a soulful, oversized Sasquatch who lives on the margins and loves without condition, since 2011. What started as a wheatpaste sticker in Bushwick has grown into a 100-foot mural at the World Trade Center, a 60th-anniversary collaboration with the Guggenheim Museum, an apparel line with GAP, and a solo gallery show in 2025 anchored by an eight-foot sculpture.

Sines works in mixed media on canvas, layering illustrative clarity against passages of raw abstraction so each painting feels less like a fixed image and more like a memory you're still piecing together. His work is in private collections worldwide. Owning a Sines isn't owning merch. It's owning the original hand behind a character that's already been embraced by a museum, a mural landmark, and a global apparel brand, before the market has caught up to it.
